ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR
rotator cuff repair
A rotator cuff is made up of muscles and tendons in the shoulder that help to hold the joint in place. You may need a rotator cuff repair if the cuff is torn or injured.
Rotator Cuff Repair Procedure
Pain from an injured rotator cuff may be treated with physical therapy or other non-invasive treatments. A Rotator Cuff may also be repaired during an arthroscopy (Scope) procedure or in an open procedure depending on the damage to the shoulder.

Recovery Time
A scope procedure can generally be performed on an out-patient basis. This means, after your procedure has ended, you will be taken to a room to recover for a few hours before being discharged on the same day as your procedure. An open procedure may require a night or two in the hospital.
